Round 2 of Toy Shopping

And then there was (the unplanned) day 2.

Day one was unplanned, so is day 2. We were supposed to stay home today, or go to another mall. However, Doc M's helicopter toy that he bought yesterday had some trouble charging that's why we have decided to have it replaced. It was the only purpose supposedly. I opted to still roam around and I got another cart filled with toys.

The only difference today is that I scouted for toys that I can give away for Christmas or those all-of-a-sudden birthday parties. In all fairness, there were a lot of toys that were at almost 80% discount. They will just have to sit around the storage room (a.k.a. attic) until they are ready to be wrapped and be given away.

I wanted to buy the other two Moxie Teenz doll, but I will be going way beyond my budget. I know that this is not the last time that I will see them on sale.

Good thing today is the last day. Most of the items that I got today are kiddie pillows and toys for boys and girls.

Ursula Doll by Mattel

There was a time when I wanted to collect Disney's villain dolls, but they didn't seem to be available. I tried looking online but they were way too costly already so I ticked it off my wish list.

Then I saw this Ursula from out local ebay and needless to say, I did not think twice in buying her even when it meant that I had to pick it up from the seller's house that is way too far from me. The other good news is that I got her for a very good price.

The only thing that I noticed about her is that she's been in the box for too long and wasn't stored very well that she started having molds on her dress.

Right now she is still in her box, but she is already in my list of dolls that I will be deboxing soon.

She is Ursula doll released by Mattel.

I have several Disney dolls that I plan to write about. Hopefully I will be able to take photos of them soon.

Moxie Teenz Dolls

I truly love variation. In as much as I would like to focus on certain items in my doll collection, I could not stop getting anything that I get attracted to. So true when I introduced the Moxie Teen dolls in my collection. These are much higher that Barbie, about 14" I supposed.

I never got intersted with the original Moxie Girls that are the 12" versions, while the Teenz versions came out to be expensive.

The first in my collection is Leigh, wearing the gold gown. I saw her on sale at 50% off at a local toy store and so I bought her. Afterwards they placed it back to it's original price. Other stores never offered them on sale. Since then I have been going back and forth to that same toy store where I was able to buy her until yesterday when I went to a Toy Sale that I was able to get Melrose and Arizona. Ecstatic! Since I had to watch my budget, I had to leave the other two from the "evening gown" series and opted to get these two.

I bet I will be writing another entry that features the Moxie Teenz, I am just unsure on how soon.

Liv Girls Getaway: Daniel and Hayden

I bought these girls last weekend, but didn't get the chance to write about them. It's Hayden and Daniela from the Liv Girls Getaway Series.

I don't think there's a need to say more since I have been writing about them for quite sometime now. They have several entries in my blog. And I guess more entries about them soon.

Daniel and Hayden completes my series. So here they are now:

Early Christmas Toys

It's weekend again, and was time to bond with Baby G. Today we have decided to go to the Mall of Asia.

While on our way to the open parking, I saw these banners announcing a Toy Fair at the SMX Convention Center. So I told Doc M I wanted to drop by. He asked me immediately if I had plans of buying toys and my response was: 'I just would like to take a look.' He smirked at me.

We were a bit early so the place wasn't crowded yet. The first place that I went to was the booth of Liv Dolls. Unfortunately, all their stocks are the ones that I already have. So we went on, started to push a cart, and in a span of 30 minutes, I just heard a saleslady asking if I would like to have another cart. And she was right because I had nowhere to place more stuff. I opted to keep just one cart, though, and just rearranged my stuff.

It was definitely haven! Just imagine how hard it was to psyche myself!

Most of them are for Baby G. Some are for me and Doc M also has few pieces from this group. The rest I plan to give away, during birthdays and even for Christmas. It's almost August and I do not plan to cram during the season so I think it's practical to start my Christmas shopping because when the Ber months come in, prices will surely be higher and malls will start to get crowded.

So yes, it's an early Christmas shopping at the same time.

Petron Porsche

I used to be crazy over the Ferrari cars from Shell. I actually have several pieces from about 3 series. Then when they released keychain versions, that when I have decided to stop. I will be posting about them soon.

Now the Petron Porsche cars are far more different from the Ferraris of Shell. These pieces over here are more interactive and more fun to play with. You won't be able to resist not to open them from their boxes. They are made from far better materials and they are bigger.

I actually have 4 out of 5. It was kinda late from me when I have decided to get them. They were selling like pancakes! Most of them I was able to get from out of town branches.

Baby G, my niece is the one who plays with them most of the time. She prefers to play with cars than the dolls at home.

James Dolls: Poms and Polynces

These 2 dolls in this blog are from the James Dolls series. The girl is Poms and the boy is Polynces. I can't find anything about these dolls on the internet. I am assuming that they are clone dolls - of Bratz, perhaps?

Yet, they are having good quality comparable to dolls released by big toy companies. I saw both of them in the toy store about 5 years ago or so. Their packages were so dented that I have decided to take out one of them and kept in a plastic bag. I was able to preserve the girl doll and kept in the overly distressed packaging until about 2 weeks about when I took their photos. They are both free now and inside my niece's room, sitting beside a CPK doll (I plan to blog about her as well).

They are cute, is all I can say. You may look at the pictures and let me know if you don't agree. :)

Princess Ai (Manga Doll)

Cool boots!
But I think they're not original because file photos show this doll having pink flat shoes.

A pretty face. An obvious manga doll. I actually didn't know her until I saw her in the toy store.

I actually have a sad story about her. I remember going inside the toy store and several of boxed of her were placed near the entrance. I immediately fell in love with her and didn't think twice to buy her. Besides, she was on sale, from about $50, I was only able to get her for about $25. The sad part? Well, after about 4 months or so, I saw her in toy shops being sold at merely $7. I guess you already have an idea of what I am talking about. It is, however, part of being a collector. It's the passion, and the future market price just comes next.

I believe there are 3 of them in the series, but it was only her that was made available in our country.

I took her out of the box, but returned her afterwards where she was kept for quite sometime. I just took these photos about 2 weeks ago and I have actually uploaded them last week. It was only now that I was able to write something about her.

I have included few stuff about her, which I got from the internet:
