I never knew about the existence of Tolly Tots dolls until I bought an 18" doll from Ebay Philippines about 2-3 years ago. It was a second hand doll and I knew it's not American Girl, but she was too cute not to purchase.
One day while I was having a stroll in one of the malls, I saw Tolly Tots dolls on sale, for only about $5 each. I immediately purchased 4 dolls. As of this time, I only have 3 girls left from that purchase since I gifted one of them.
Few months after, they released Tolly Tots Fashion/Outfits at about $5 each as well. They've been kept in boxes for quite sometime now, but it's already time for me to pass them on to my 3-year old niece.
