McDonald's Happy Meal: Barbie and the Magic of Pegasus

I may be a fan of Barbie, but not to the point of watching Barbie movies. I have seen some of them, but I am really not too eager.

But I collect the dolls and the toys, especially from McDonald's. Although the mini dolls do not look like Barbie at all. This particular set was released in 2005.

I've kept them for quite sometime, but I guess not it's time for them to be taken out of the plastic packaging. And for sure, I will soon have the storage challenge again. And I should be anticipating the fact that they will be losing quality. I mean like now, I just got them out so they look so new despite that I got them few years ago.

So here are their close up photos:

Rainy Day Today

It's a rainy day today. There's no storm, just the regular rain. Gloomy, as how I should describe it.

I am not a fan of the rain because it feels like numbing a quarter of my senses. As others describe it, it's a "bed weather". I had plans of going out, to stroll in the mall or perhaps try to get new Liv dolls. Have a great resto meal, or a milk tea, or dessert. Yet the rain makes it difficult for me to move. So I just might stay home.

The past few nights, I started looking into my Happy Meal toys. I have been taking them out of their plastic packagings, and take photos at the same time. Although I am kinda slow uploading them.

I am now realizing how much treasure I have and glad to be seeing how cute and pretty they are. Will all the features like making them move and all, simply happiness! Just like being a kid again.

Being a kid-like is something that not all people are aware of. At the outside, I am a serious person. An introvert. Mysterious somehow. People actually see me as someone who can handle pressure. Like most of them are cramming already and yet I seem to be so calm still.

Anyway, I just hope that I will be able to have more posts this weekend! But as of this time, my eyes are starting to close and get some snooze. Ciao!

You just saw the members of the Mirumo de Pon set. These were released in 2005. They are about 3-4 inches tall.

Mirumo de Pon is a manga series. All of them have winding keys that makes them move and play their respective musical instruments.

So here they are now as a group and their photos while still in their packagings:

McDonald's Happy Meal: Madame Alexander

I have already started looking into my collection of McDonald's toys from the attic. I will slowly take photos and post them per set in this blog. Really, it's exciting!

For this set, these are mini Madame Alexander dolls. Good thing I haven't taken them out of their packaging before because now, I can confidently say that they came out in 2007. I was at the peak of getting toys from McDo Happy Meal.

They are about 5" tall. Despite being mini versions, their eyes have the open and close function.

So here they are:

Cowboy Town

One of the items that I got from my recent toy shopping spree is this set of Cowboy Town figures. I got 4 boxes and I opened one box to add the figures to Baby G's collection. I was surprised on how good the quality is, given that it's priced at less than $3.00. I really think it's a good buy, and whoever is receiving this as a gift will be happy.

It's not from a well-known toy company so you won't see articles about this in the internet. So here they are, hope you like the pics.

I would like to mention that I am on the road while writing this blog. It's a rainy day and about 7pm. Dark and I simply would like to be home already. Ciao!

Harumika Mannequins

During my early doll collecting days, I was visioning myself to be creating my own dolls' clothes, styling their hair, and redoing their make-ups. I even bought a lot of second-hand dolls with thoughts of restoring them. Yet, I simply couldn't. I realized that I do not have the talent to do so. I am limited to just collecting.

Harumika dolls were supposed to be perfect. However, when it came out of the market, I was at the lowest stage of my collecting 'era' when I wasn't so interested in getting new dolls and toys.

Now they are on sale and I have thought of, 'why not?'. So I grabbed these two mannequins, but they will simply act as decorations and I won't be able to maximize their purpose. They look good enough though to join my collection and I am actually glad that I got them.

I don't think there is still a need for me to introduce them further.

Round 2 of Toy Shopping

And then there was (the unplanned) day 2.

Day one was unplanned, so is day 2. We were supposed to stay home today, or go to another mall. However, Doc M's helicopter toy that he bought yesterday had some trouble charging that's why we have decided to have it replaced. It was the only purpose supposedly. I opted to still roam around and I got another cart filled with toys.

The only difference today is that I scouted for toys that I can give away for Christmas or those all-of-a-sudden birthday parties. In all fairness, there were a lot of toys that were at almost 80% discount. They will just have to sit around the storage room (a.k.a. attic) until they are ready to be wrapped and be given away.

I wanted to buy the other two Moxie Teenz doll, but I will be going way beyond my budget. I know that this is not the last time that I will see them on sale.

Good thing today is the last day. Most of the items that I got today are kiddie pillows and toys for boys and girls.
