McDonald's Happy Meal: Chicken Little

I've had these photos uploaded several months ago and just kept them as "draft". Several times I tried to write something about these cuties and I end up just saving this entry. Now I am finally sharing them to you.

The movie Chicken Little was shown in 2005, so I am assuming that these toys were released the same year as well. I was at the peak of collecting Happy Meal toys so I was able to complete all of them.

I think I have already thrown away the plastic packagings. Apologies if I won't be able to introduce each one of them anymore.

Here they are now:

McDonald's Happy Meal: FURBY BOOM

July 14, 2014

I haven't visited McDonald's for quite sometime as I was trying to avoid buying Happy Meal toys. I was able to resist the adorable dragons from the movie "How to Train Your Dragon 2". However just this night, we had to drop by McDo for dinner when I saw Furby.

I have actually been a fan of Furby since the first time Hasbro released them; I think more that 10 years ago. I even have the Japanese version that was released at a later date. This is the bigger version and I still have about 2 of then in boxes. There is also Shelby, the shell.

To make the long story short, I wasn't able to resist getting them. Good thing they're just 4. The other 4 are the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which I do not have plans of buying anymore.

I am initially posting the photo I took earlier while at the store. I will definitely be having breakfast tomorrow so I'd complete them already. Once I have all 4, will tear the plastic packaging. I can already hear Baby G saying "Wow!"

July 15, 2014
I only got the chance now to update this entry. Anyway, as what I have mentioned, I tried having breakfast at the McDonald's branch across our office. Unfortunately, they ran out of stock already. I immediately sent an sms to Doc M for him to check the branch in the mall where he's working.

I had to wait until after office hours, but I was releived when he told me that he was able to buy the last 2 Furbys that I asked from him.

So without further ado, here they are now:

Jollibee Kiddie Meal: RIO 2

Date of Release: April 1, 2014

Just after I completed the Super Mario figures from McDonald's, I saw a commercial that Jollibee Kiddie Meal is offering 3 toys from the movie RIO 2. I acted as if I wasn't interested, but last night before going home, I asked Doc M if we can have dinner in Jollibee.

Suprisingly, Blu the Spix's Macau toy was already out of stock, even though it was only released last April 1st. So I was only able to get Rafael the Bird and Gabi the Frog. They are cute and their sizes are comparable to the toys of McDo. However, when they were handed to me, both toys were light. I have written about it from my previous blogs, and the quality of the Jollibee toys haven't changed. They are still these "seems so fragile" toys that would easily be destroyed if toddlers are the ones who play with them.

Despite, they were able to put a smile on Baby G's face when I showed them to her. She immediately asked me to keep them in her toy box. I will be taking photos of them and will post here.

To be continued...

McDonald's Happy Meal: Super Mario

Photo taken from McDonald's Philippines Facebook account
Date of Release: March 29, 2009

Last Monday (March 31st) Doc M and I headed to McDonald's so he may have dinner. There was a party in the office so I was full and just opted to accompany him. Upon entering the store, it was then that I found out that they have a new set of toys for their Happy Meal - the Super Mario figures! Oh y
es, I had to defy Doc M's craving for a cheeseburger meal and insisted to order 3 burger Mcdo Happy Meal. In as much as I wanted to get them all right away, it was simply impractical to do so because I wasn't really hungry then. We just had to bring home the extra 2 burgers as my system was unable to take in more food.

Day 1 (March 31)

I got *Mario with Pipe, *Mario with Goal Pole and *Yoshi (the Dinosaur). Arriving home, I showed it to Baby G who was then got excited and asked if she could open them already. I said no, and told her that we have to complete all 8 figures first before we open them. The little lady understood and did not insist on opening them, but kept on asking why we couldn't open them. She was contented to get the same answer everytime.

Day 2 (April 1)

Expectedly, I had my breakfast at McDonald's again and got the 4-pc. mini pancakes Happy Meal. I didn't like the other breakfast offers. Then in the evening, Doc M and I had dinner at McDo again but was only able to get 3 toys because Peach, the Princess was already out of stock.

I got *Mario with ? Block for breakfast. It actually ran out of stock that I requested for the one on display instead. In the evening, *Boomerang Mario, *Fire Mario and *Penguin Mario

When I got home, Baby G hurriedly went downstairs while asking me if I was able to get all to complete the 8. I told her that one was out of stock. I told her that we could already open all even though we lack 1 figure. The little lady was firm in saying "no" because we have to complete all 8. Oh boy! My EQ is much lower than the 4-year old, but I have no other choice now but to complete them.

And now I am on my day 3, and I won't go home until I get Peach the Princess.

I will be taking photos once I completed them, so you may expect an update to this blog by the end of this week.

Ciao!

Yamato: 1/6 WIld Western PEACE MAKER BOUNTY HUNTER

These are Clint Eastwood and Sharon stone dolls or you may call them figures I guess. They go by the characters George and Kelly.

I am a boring blogger today and I do apologize if I tell you to check their details in google as there are quite a number of ebay sellers offering these dolls.

I got them less than five years ago and I actually got 2 Kelly dolls, which the other one I opened already. However, I don't have photos of the opened doll.

Please see their photos below:

Friday and Saturday

It's Saturday. I am at home. My free day.

The past weeks have been stressful. Weekends going out of town, in malls, outside the house. Extreme demands from the office where things are expected to be delivered ASAP! Yesterday was sort of a wake up call.

February 14th (Friday). For most, it's Valentine's Day. For me, just an ordinary day. You may call me bitter, but it's an event for business-minded people. It's a day for people who are into the following business: flowers, chocolates, food-restaurants, hotel-motels, spas, couriers, and so on and so forth.

Morning. I had to drag myself out of bed. Had to prepare for work. Dreading. Then I had to stand for sometime and wait for the shuttle van. Out of nowhere, I felt something fell on my forehead. I thought it was water, and to my surprise, it's a bird's 'drop'. You know what I mean. A bit traffic on the way to the office, but it was my chance to close my eyes and relax.

Afternoon. I felt headache coming in, but didn't get the chance to by medicine. Usual stuff. Nothing exciting. Didn't have a decent lunch. In the evening, the head pain got stronger, until the time Doc M fetch me. On the way home, it was so uncomfortable, wishing to be home in just a snap. I had to close my eyes to relax. Upon reaching home, I ran straight to the sink and (sorry for the word) but I had to throw up. Relief!

I understand what my body's saying. So now I am staying at home, trying to catch up with my personal errands. Reminder. I am still human.

Arranged my purse, threw away old receipts. Placed my coins in my money jar. Sorted my cards in my wallet.

Got my other bags where I'd stash stuff.  And now I am trying to clean up. Placing old clothes in a plastic bin. Throwing away papers, documents that are old. Feeling a bit better. Still I got a long way to go in organizing my stuff.

Tried blogging about Betty Spaghetty. I got more to write about. Not sure when, but 'till next!

McDonald's Happy Meal: Betty Spaghetty

I posted my Betty Spaghetty dolls previously and now it's time for the McDonald's Happy Mean version.

I don't have the release date right now, but I will just update this post next time.

They are four characters in this set and it's nice that they can actually stand on their own.

I have nothing much to say right now, but please look at the photos to appreciate these girls.

In as much as I would like to write more, I am afraid that I will end up not posting them.

Ciao!

A Breather

I miss writing in this blog already. Today, I am taking a breather as work has been so demanding the past few days. Lots have happened already and several ideas are in my head, waiting to be transformed into writing. Most of all, I have lots of updates that I've been itching to share to everyone.

I have started selling online again and will be adding toys as soon as I am able to take photos of them. (This is really taking so long!)

It's really funny on having this feeling sometimes of wanting to buy extra time, just to be able to do things that I want to be doing. Then sometimes I feel like wanting to end a day immediately.

Will be going out of town this weekend, and I am planning to bring several toys with me for pictorial. Will be bringing the laptop with me. 'Till next!

Integrity Dolls: Janay and Alyssa

I fell in love with these girls the moment I saw them on eBay US! During the time when I was so active in purchasing dolls online, I made sure that I buy them. So armed with a laptop and credit card, I bought these girls and waited for them to arrive in the mail.

In as much as I wanted to immediately open them upon claiming them at the post office, I had to stop myself from doing so in order to maintain their pristine condition. However, they were kept in the attic for sometime until such time that I decided to let go of some of my dolls. They were one of those I listed online; through our local ebay. Given their rarity, I immediately have gotten a buyer the first time I posted them.

I sold them lower than the amount that I got them. I am not sure now on why I did that: (1) letting them go and (2) selling them low. Part of me have a little regret, but another is saying that it's okay because they might be in better hands rather than being kept in a dark attic.

I have more dolls that I need to let go, mostly are Barbie dolls. Soon!

TK Sale at Megamall

This is an overdue blog, but I am posting it for reference.

Doc M received a text message last week, advising him of the Toy Sale, being a credit cardholder of the event's main sponsor. There was also a "preview" exclusively to cardholders last October 31st. I asked Doc M to go there after office, but he declined because traffic was bad that day, given that people were all busy going everywhere!

I tried to resist, but yes, I wasn't able to. So the next day, Saturday, we went to SM Megamall together with Baby G, Couz D and Doc M's Couz J.

Bad idea!

Unlike the one that we went to last July at the SMX Center, Megamall's location had smaller isles and I think more participants. We went at 12nn, the mall's opening hour since it was a holiday, and yet it was swarmed with people already when we went in. I asked Doc M and the kids to just stay in one area while I tried to scout the place. Oh boy! Few seconds after going in, I had to find my way out already because people were literally bumping into each other and there were times when I had to squish into the crowd just to be able to forward, and sometimes I had to just let myself be dragged by the crowd. There was not time to look into the kiosks as stopping a bit will mean a terrible traffic. Yes, it was that bad! I wish I was able to take a photo of the event.

After finally going back to the area where I left Doc M and the kids, we heard a commotion near the area, 2 women shouting at each other for a toy that both of them held on. So without thinking twice, we exited the place. It wasn't a place for kids at all.

Now I know that I should not go back to Megamall anymore for sale events. The crowd there seems to be different than those who go to SMX.

Lesson learned.

It's 2014!

Happy New Year!

My resolution for 2014 is to Aim for Simplicity. It is vague, but I guess being simple covers almost everything that I would like to achieve this year.

2013 has been a liberating year for me. It felt as if I had to do things as I please. Like eating out all the time, buy toys and dolls that I've gotten interested in, acquire things that I don't really need, so on and so forth.

I guess 2014 entails being smarter when it comes to my actions, with my finances. Being simple means being able to convince myself that I have all the basic things that I need to survive on a daily basis. Being simple means controlling my urges to go into retail therapy. Being simple means lowering down my expectations from people in order not to get disappointed later. Being simple means cutting down on being impulsive (cutting down is my term because I know that this won't happen immediately).

Being simple also means being minimalist. This covers my toys. I have been saying over and over through several blogs how I wanted to let go of some of my stuff in the attic, but I ended up having more.

So it's really a challenge that I am taking right now: being able to let go of toys that I do not intend to keep anymore, and at the same time being able to stuff my wallet and my bank account.

I really hope that I will be able to do so!

I also hope to be able to constantly update this blog page!

Happy 2014 to all!!!
